This is such as quick, easy, and economical pizza sauce to make that you’ll ask yourself why you ever bothered with store-bought sauce. It keeps in the fridge for up to a week or you can freeze it for up to three months. It’s a family favourite in our house.
Enough sauce for roughly 4 - 6 pizzas, depending on size.
- 1 regular (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp each garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Mix all ingredients together in a blender. You can adjust the seasonings to suit your taste, perhaps adding more oregano, garlic, or even a pinch of brown sugar if you like it really sweet.
Refrigerate leftover sauce for no more than a week or freeze it in a zip-lock bag for up to three months.
This sauce is perfect for homemade or store-bought pizza crusts, calzones, French bread pizzas, meatball sandwiches, or mini English muffin pizzas.
