Fix this one for Sunday supper while you watch the game or get it going when the kids come home from school. It'll be a big hit.
- 3 lbs boneless beef roast, cut into ½ inch (2cm) thick slices
- 1 cup water
- 1½ cups maple BBQ sauce (Brickstone Maple Bourbon BBQ, DanT’s Maple Chipotle BBQ, Stonewall Kitchen Maple Chipotle Grille Sauce)
- sandwich or hoagie buns
Preheat oven to 325°F/162°C. Arrange beef slices in the bottom of a roasting pan. Mix water and 1 cup of the BBQ sauce together and pour over meat. Cook slowly for 2 hours, turning meat a couple of times. You can also cook it in the roasting pan on the grill over indirect heat. Remove from heat when done and pour remaining BBQ sauce over top. Serve slices on sandwich rolls with your favourite condiments on the side. Enjoy!
