Melinda’s Red Savina - Hot-Sauce-of-the-Month / July 2015

The Red Savina is the hottest variety of habanero and has been lab certified at 577,000 SHU, nearly twice as hot as a garden-variety habanero. Melinda’s uses its original blend of fresh carrots, onions, garlic, and a hint of lime juice with the Red Savina habanero for extra punch.

Melinda's Jalapeño is a classic medium hot sauce with bright pepper flavour. Vinegar tang compliments all kinds of dishes from salsa to tacos, soups to bean salads. The heat level is great for hot sauce beginners or folks who want more flavour than burn.

Melinda's Scotch Bonnet captures classic Caribbean flavour with the region's favourite chile.  Scotch Bonnet peppers approach habaneros in heat but offer a slightly fruity note.  This sauce has a classic Caribbean base of carrot, onion, and garlic.  Additionally, it accentuates the fruitiness of the Scotch Bonnets with papayas, passion fruit, and lime to create a bottle full of tropical sunshine!  It's terrific on any food but especially suited to Caribbean and Asian dishes.
